Moments in prayer

Quite frequently in prayer my skin becomes all goose-pimply and my hair on my head feels like it is standing on end. Sometimes tears also begin to fall from my eyes from the experience which is quite complex. It is joyful, pleasurable, beautiful, and saddening all at once.

    I fully understand that. I once explained to a girlfriend that those moments of emotive prayer and connection are better than sex. She got a bit miffed at me. I am glad to see someone else posting about prayer in a Great Work context.

    Yup. It brings a deeper meaning to "enflame one's self with prayer".
